I'll overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming bout.

Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
